Lights, Camera, Action!
Thursday will mark a new chapter for the Beacon of Light with the ultimate community hub set to host its first ever set of movie nights.
The Beacon’s ‘Warm Space’ area, which is supported by Sunderland City Council, will show ten Disney classics across ten successive days, offering free entry to all families who attend.
Films will start at 4.30pm on weekdays, while weekend showings will start at 11am.
Not only will you receive free entry to the viewing, attendees will also receive hot chocolate and popcorn free of charge.
Ahead of the launch on 12 January, Jemma Dowson, Head of Events & Beacon of Light General Manager said: “We are very excited to welcome children and families to the Beacon to experience some Disney movie classics.
“Not only is it a great opportunity for young people to enjoy some of their favourite movies, it also allows the local community to see what our warm space is all about and more importantly, what it has to offer.”
Over the coming weeks, Beacon of Light will be revealing further movie schedules with different movie themes on the horizon.
