Ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week, Beacon of Light highlighted a range of vital support services from across the region in the pre-match Fan Zone ahead of Sunderland AFC’s game against Manchester United.
Supporters and the local community can now get even more from every visit to the Beacon of Light with the launch of Beacon of Light Membership.

Our ‘Girls Football Showcase’ will take place from 11:30am until 1:30pm on Sunday 29 March, offering a range of pre-match activities before The Lasses kick off at the Stadium of Light at 2pm.
The exhibition will be on display at the Beacon of Light until Wednesday 25 March, the former Sunderland AFC chairman describing it as a “powerful reminder” of the importance of women in the club’s history.
