New Health Hub opens at Sunderland’s Beacon of Light
A new ‘Health Hub’ has opened at Sunderland’s Beacon of Light, offering a range of free sessions designed to help the community improve their health and wellbeing.
Beacon of Light is set to host a Matchday Fan Zone with a difference when Sunderland AFC celebrate International Fans’ Day.
The Black Cats’ home game against Swansea City on Saturday 12 April will be dedicated to celebrating supporters from across the globe and there’s plenty going on at the Beacon from 12:30pm.
There will be special performances from Sunderland Chinese Unicorn Association who will stage a Chinese Dragon Parade and a Caribbean Steel Band Performance from West Rainton Primary School.
A series of interviews will be carried out with international supporters, hearing more about the stories of their connection with Sunderland AFC.

Don’t head to the match hungry! Our Yard Nine Café will be serving up matchday classics and drinks.
