Beacon of Light is set to host a Wear One Community Day in partnership with Sunderland College and Foundation of Light.
Wear One Community Day is a celebration of diversity, unity, and wellbeing through sport and health.
Taking place at the Beacon of Light on Tuesday 7 May, 1pm-7pm, this free event is designed to bring people of all backgrounds together, promoting social cohesion and inclusion.
Using sport and health as powerful tools for integration, Wear One Community Day invites everyone — regardless of age, ability, or background — to get involved.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a range of activities throughout the day, from health and wellbeing sessions, sports from around the globe, tournaments and giveaways.
With activities running continuously, attendees can join in at any time and will always find something exciting happening.
Wear One Community Day promises to be an inclusive, and inspiring event that strengthens ties within the Sunderland community.
Whether you're looking to try a new sport, learn more about health and wellbeing, or simply meet new people, there will be something for everyone.

Among the sports you can have a go at are some traditional games from other parts of the world including Nigerian 'Abula' and 'Peteca' from Brazil.
Abula
