RISE4Disability: Empowering event coming to the Beacon of Light
Get ready for an unforgettable day at RISE4Disability Sunderland, a FREE event designed to empower, support, and bring people together in one incredible space.
The Beacon of Light have a wide range of activities during the school summer holidays, starting from 22 July.
Always a hit with children and their parents, our summer activities give young people and families the opportunity to stay active during the school holidays.
Daily drop-in sessions
Mondays 3-4pm: Football
Tuesdays 3-4pm: Netball
Wednesdays 3-4pm: Basketball
Thursdays 3-4pm: Badminton
Fridays 3-4pm: Table Tennis
Soft play and movie mornings
Saturday 3 August: Soft play 10.00am-11.30am, followed by a screening of ‘The Little Mermaid’ on the big screen
Saturday 17 August: Soft play 10.00am-11.30am, followed by a screening of ‘Lightyear’ on the big screen
Inflatable sessions

Beacon of Light is set to be a hub for those looking to start running, becoming the meeting point for Sunderland Strollers’ new Beginners Running Group.
