Introducing Beacon of Light Membership
Supporters and the local community can now get even more from every visit to the Beacon of Light with the launch of Beacon of Light Membership.
Sunderland’s Beacon of Light is excited to introduce our new play café ‘The Little Yard’ which will open on Monday 4 August.
The Farmyard themed play area has been designed for children aged under 2-years-old and is located at the rear of Beacon of Light’s ground floor (opposite the main entrance).
While little ones explore and play in The Little Yard, adults can relax with a hot drink from the Beacon’s Yard Nine café.
Yard Nine will also introduce a new play café menu offering snacks and packed lunches ideal for toddlers.

The Little Yard is open daily from Monday to Sunday with three available time slots – 9:30am to 11am, 11:30am to 1pm, and 1:30pm to 3pm.
Each 90-minute session costs just £3 per child (terms and conditions apply). As an added treat, children booked into the launch day sessions on Monday will receive a free cupcake!
You can now book The Little Yard via our online booking system (steps below): Click Here
All proceeds from The Little Yard bookings will support the Foundation of Light and their life-changing work across Sunderland, South Tyneside and County Durham.
