Over 100 youngsters have enjoyed Foundation of Light holiday courses during the February half-term break.
During the school holidays, SAFC’s official charity hosted sessions for children of all ages, and this past week the Beacon of Light has been a hive of activity with youngsters taking part in various activities.
Toddlers got to hear the story of The Stickman before getting messy with some fun arts and crafts; budding footballers took to the 3G pitches to hone their skills with our coaches, while disability multi-sports sessions took place indoors with parents and kids competing in a number of different games.
Over the course of the half-term week over 100 children visited the Beacon of Light to join the courses, with scores more coming along to free family event hosted by Young Asian Voices and Sunderland Council.
The Beacon of Light has a timetable of activities for people of all ages – see What’s On here.
Evening and weekend football sessions also take place, Little Dribblers, Little Skills and Game Play sessions start from £2 each and cater kids aged 3 all the way up to 14 years.
