Yard Nine sponsors Foundation of Light's Community Clubs
The Beacon of Light’s Yard Nine café is giving their support to the Foundation of Light’s Community Club teams.
Tickets are now on sale for Sunderland AFC’s End of Season awards evening, presented by Hays Travel.
Taking place at the Beacon of Light on Thursday 2 May, SAFC’s full Men’s and Women’s teams will be in attendance alongside senior executives and representatives from the Club’s academy.
The new annual event will be a celebration and reflection of the past campaign, with 11 awards, including Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season, to be presented.
Hosted by Sky Sports presenter and lifelong SAFC supporter Tom White, attendees will enjoy exclusive access to present stars and iconic legends whilst enjoying a five-course meal catered by Ramside Hall.
In addition to a selection of academy awards, a Women’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season will also be crowned – and attendees will have the opportunity to vote for our Goal of the Season on the night.
Mike Dodds' side currently sit midtable in the Sky Bet Championship, with Mel Reay's Lasses leading the pack and gunning for promotion from the FA Women's Championship.
And it's been another successful campaign at the Academy of Light from our Under-9s to our Under-21s, as homegrown talent continues to play an integral part in our first team and the next crop of talent emerges.
Club representatives, including players and coaches, will be interviewed on stage and engage with the audience throughout the evening, which will conclude with live entertainment until late.
Limited sponsorship packages remain on sale and if you wish to sponsor an award, further information is available by emailing events@safc.com.

The Beacon of Light will host a dedicated Remembrance Day Fan Zone ahead of Sunderland AFC’s match against Coventry City.
