Scores of youngsters enjoyed Foundation of Light holiday courses during the summer holidays – as well as the bonus of meeting the two stars!
During the school break, SAFC’s official charity hosted sessions for children of all ages, and the Beacon has been a hive of activity with youngsters taking part in various activities.
Future stars took to the 3G pitches to hone their skills with our coaches, while disability multi-sports sessions took place indoors with parents and kids competing in a number of different games.

Evening and weekend football sessions also take place, Little Dribblers, Little Skills and Game Play sessions start from £2 each and cater kids aged 3 all the way up to 14 years.

The Beacon of Light will host a dedicated Remembrance Day Fan Zone ahead of Sunderland AFC’s match against Coventry City.
Baroness Estelle Morris of Yardley, a trustee of Sunderland AFC’s official charity, took part in the conference and called the Beacon ‘a fantastic building’ adding that ‘what happens here is absolutely key.’
