Yard Nine sponsors Foundation of Light's Community Clubs
The Beacon of Light’s Yard Nine café is giving their support to the Foundation of Light’s Community Club teams.
Over 700 kids and families have enjoyed the Foundation of Light's Holiday Courses at the Beacon since the start of 2023.
More than 300 people attended the Foundation’s first holiday course of the year in February, with over 400 attending the Beacon for Easter’s instalment.
With another set of exciting activities confirmed for May and June, the official charity of Sunderland AFC is encouraging the local community to help the Foundation break the 1000 mark.
Every Easter, Summer, Christmas and half-term holiday, we host a wide range of fun sports activities for boys and girls throughout the North East.

Disability Multi-sports, Football (2 day), Little Dribblers Big Day Out, Disability Football, 1:1 Coaching, Baking: Hungry Caterpillar Cookies, Easter Holiday Club (2 day), Beacon Birthday Baking, Cage Football, FIFA Tournament and kickabout, Football 1day (Chester Le Street).

The Beacon of Light will host a dedicated Remembrance Day Fan Zone ahead of Sunderland AFC’s match against Coventry City.
Baroness Estelle Morris of Yardley, a trustee of Sunderland AFC’s official charity, took part in the conference and called the Beacon ‘a fantastic building’ adding that ‘what happens here is absolutely key.’
