Allied Mobility Wheelchair Rugby Nationals to Take Place at the Beacon of Light
Beacon of Light will host Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby's Allied Mobility Wheelchair Rugby Nationals this March.
Government guidance update
Following the latest update to government guidelines regarding national restrictions [announced on Saturday 31 October], the Foundation of Light has implemented further safety measures to ensure that the Beacon of Light and associated Foundation of Light programmes, remain COVID secure.
All sport, including as part of affiliated clubs, has been suspended from Thursday 5 November until further notice.
PROGRAMMES AFFECTED BY NEW GUIDELINES:
- Game Play – cancelled until further notice
- Little Skills – cancelled until further notice
- Little Dribblers – cancelled until further notice
- Foundation Community Clubs – suspended until further notice
- Player Development Centres – suspended until further notice
- Sunderland Regional Talent Centre – suspended until further notice
- One-on-one Coaching – cancelled until further notice
- Little Dribblers Playgroup – no sessions available until further notice
- Pay and Play – suspended until further notice
- Badminton – suspended until further notice
- Netball – suspended until further notice
- Extra Time Hub – online sessions only
- Kicks – online sessions only
- Making Moves – suspended until further notice
- Fit Black Cats – online sessions only
- NCS – online sessions only

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- The Beacon of Light will now be closed to the general public from 7am Thursday 5thNovember until further notice
- The building will remain open for Beacon of Light School, Siblings Nursery, Military Preparation College, NHS services and FoL education programmes
- Anyone entering the building must scan the NHS Test and Trace QR code and register with the NHS Covid-19 App
- Masks must be worn in all public areas of the building
- Hand sanitiser is available for everyone and all equipment regularly cleaned before, during and after sessions
- A social distancing policy is in place
