The Beacon of Light is the new base for SR Functional Fitness training sessions.
The popular functional training sessions take place on the outdoor pitches at the rear of the Beacon, moving to the indoor arena for inclement weather!
The classes are organised by Simon Ramsden, a familiar face to many as he played for Sunderland AFC back in 2003-04.
The former football made just under 350 appearances in England and Scotland before retiring.
During lockdown Simon decided to set up SR Functional Fitness and prides himself on creating a friendly environment at all classes, with everyone made to feel welcome no matter their level of fitness.
