New Health Hub opens at Sunderland’s Beacon of Light
A new ‘Health Hub’ has opened at Sunderland’s Beacon of Light, offering a range of free sessions designed to help the community improve their health and wellbeing.
Beacon of Light will be supporting Sunderland AFC's dedicated ‘Show Racism The Red Card’ matchday with a special themed Fan Zone this Saturday.
Sunderland AFC’s home match against Millwall is part of a series of dedicated matchdays aimed at making the Stadium of Light an inclusive place where everybody can support their team.
Black Cats legends and Show Racism the Red Card ambassadors Kevin Ball and Gary Bennett will be attending, as part of Show Racism the Red Card exhibition stalls, there will also be the following activities:
• Music
• Football drop-ins
• EAFC24 on the Xboxes
• SAFC BLC Matchday Mental Health Hub
• Quiet space classroom
• Refreshments available from our Yard Nine cafe
The Premier League Fans Fund supports football clubs at all levels to strengthen connections between them, their fans, and local communities, including initiatives to develop inclusivity for under-represented groups.
The Fan Zone will be open from 12.30pm-2.30pm.

Ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week, Beacon of Light highlighted a range of vital support services from across the region in the pre-match Fan Zone ahead of Sunderland AFC’s game against Manchester United.
