Car parking update ahead of Take That concert
Due to the Take That concert taking place at Stadium of Light on Tuesday 9 June, parking restrictions will be in place around the Beacon of Light.
Beacon of Light proudly hosted Sunderland AFC’s End of Season Player Awards, celebrating an incredible 2025/26 campaign.
The Beacon’s indoor arena was transformed into a first-class celebration venue for an evening that marked a historic season for the Black Cats, who secured qualification for the Europa League after matching their best-ever Premier League finish.
The event once again showcased the versatility of the Beacon of Light. A sporting facility by day, the indoor arena can be transformed to host a wide range of events, including conferences, exhibitions, entertainment shows and gala dinners.
Alongside Foundation of Light’s annual Gala Awards Dinner, the Beacon has become the regular home of Sunderland AFC’s End of Season Awards, hosting the prestigious event for the past three years.
During that time, supporters have witnessed promotion to the Premier League, consolidation among English football’s elite and now qualification for European competition, with the awards evening continuing to grow in stature alongside the club’s success.
