Yard Nine sponsors Foundation of Light's Community Clubs
The Beacon of Light’s Yard Nine café is giving their support to the Foundation of Light’s Community Club teams.
We're delighted to announce the launch of 4Louis FC, a community initiative in collaboration between 4Louis and Foundation of Light is coming to the Beacon on Tuesday 27 February.
4Louis provide a supportive space for bereaved dads, grandads, uncles, brothers - anyone who's seeking support.
Foundation of Light is teaming up with 4Louis and Sunderland and South Tyneside Hospitals to help make a real difference to bereaved fathers in the local area. At 4Louis FC, it's not about football skills; it's about finding comfort and connection in a welcoming environment.
No matter your football ability, if you've experienced the pain of losing a child, you're invited to join the team!
4Louis FC is using the power of football to bring bereaved fathers together through a friendly, like-minded social aspect.
Bob McGurrell, Co-Founder and CEO of 4Louis said: “We are thrilled to be bringing 4Louis FC to the Beacon of Light. Men generally are poor at reaching out and contain their grief which is not really healthy. We are hoping to create not only a football family, but a strong bond supporting each other.”
The bi-weekly sessions will run from 6:00pm-8:00pm, offering a safe haven for heartfelt conversations and shared experiences.
