THE BEACON OF LIGHT
Sunderland's community hub - a space for sports, education, events and much more - for all ages and abilities!
Prime Location
Overlooking the River Wear on the outskirts of Sunderland you can’t miss the Beacon of Light on Stadium Park.

Sunderland is serviced by the Tyne and Wear Metro railway system, connecting the city to Newcastle International Airport. So whether you’re travelling by car, bus or rail and Metro it's really easy to get here!
Our Mission
We are a community hub like no other. A space for sport, events, education and wellbeing which is open to everyone of all ages and backgrounds.
Our aim is to create better opportunities and support the community to live better and healthier lives.
And the best bit? All proceeds from the Beacon of Light are donated back to the Sunderland AFC's official charity, Foundation of Light, to support communities across Sunderland, South Tyneside and County Durham be the best they can be.
