Sunderland Strollers took part in Red and White Week by dedicating their main club night to Foundation of Light’s Heart on Your Sleeve campaign.
Almost 100 Strollers met at the Beacon of Light in support of the campaign.
After their run they returned to the Beacon donning their red and white colours for pizza and beers.
The amazing effort from Sunderland Strollers helped raise almost £700.
The Foundation have been encouraging organisations across the region to host their own Red and White Day in the build up to their showcase matchday at the Stadium Of Light on Saturday.
Foundation of Light CEO Lesley Spuhler explained: “Our Heart On Your Sleeve campaign wants to close the gap on the North-South divide in health and quality of life for families across the region. All donations and money raised around Foundation of Light Day help us make a real and life-changing difference; allowing us to provide more resources and creating more opportunities for those who might be struggling.”
