New Health Hub opens at Sunderland’s Beacon of Light
A new ‘Health Hub’ has opened at Sunderland’s Beacon of Light, offering a range of free sessions designed to help the community improve their health and wellbeing.
The Beacon of Light have a wide range of activities during the school summer holidays, starting from 22 July.
Always a hit with children and their parents, our summer activities give young people and families the opportunity to stay active during the school holidays.
Daily drop-in sessions
Mondays 3-4pm: Football
Tuesdays 3-4pm: Netball
Wednesdays 3-4pm: Basketball
Thursdays 3-4pm: Badminton
Fridays 3-4pm: Table Tennis
Soft play and movie mornings
Saturday 3 August: Soft play 10.00am-11.30am, followed by a screening of ‘The Little Mermaid’ on the big screen
Saturday 17 August: Soft play 10.00am-11.30am, followed by a screening of ‘Lightyear’ on the big screen

Ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week, Beacon of Light highlighted a range of vital support services from across the region in the pre-match Fan Zone ahead of Sunderland AFC’s game against Manchester United.
