Beacon home of Salvation Army Christmas Appeal Tree
Beacon of Light is welcoming the local community to do something good this Christmas as we’re hosting a Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal Tree.
The Beacon of Light are introducing an all-new offering during Mental Health Awareness Week.
Movement is important for our mental health. But so many of us struggle to move enough.
Playing sport can help you stay physically and mentally fit and is a great way to alleviate stress and increase productivity during your working day.
Finding time to fit sport and activities into your busy schedule can prove difficult so participating in sports activities during your lunch hour can be the perfect answer.
The new dinner hour drop-ins offer 30 minutes of sport. You can also make the most of the lockers, changing rooms and showers available at the Beacon. The new Yard Nine café can also provide you with some lunch and coffee after your session.

Beacon of Light General Manager, Jemma Dowson said: “We have noticed an increased popularity in people using the Beacon during their lunch hour so wanted to highlight our dinner hour offering and want to encourage as many people as possible to participate and help improve their mental and physical well-being. Mental Health Awareness Week seems like the perfect time to launch these sessions.”
